IN PURSUIT (2017)
Company Premiere at Bryant Park Presents.
"In Pursuit" is a 12-minute dance set to the hypnotic music of Philip Glass. This work explores the shape of effort, the power of stillness, and the tension in balancing centeredness and the urgency of pursuit. "In Pursuit" is richly layered with fluid and balletic movements, dynamic partnering, and moving group structures. Watch excerpt.

1000 Full Moons is a theatrical dance set to a suite of music by Glenn Miller, Etta James, Jo Stafford and more. Each performer tells a different story rooted in the human experience of dreams, love, mourning and loss, and the deep bonds between people. 1000 Full Moons was made possible through a CUNY Dance Initiative residency at Hostos Center for the Arts & Culture, Velocity Dance Center's Creative Residency Program, and a Mineral School summer residency. UNdertow (2016)
Company Premiere at 14th Street Y Dance Festival.
Set to the electroacoustic music of Berlin-based French musician David Letellier, aka Kangding Ray, Undertow pulls inspiration from the underlying forces that envelop moving bodies in a dynamic dance of ebb and flow. Undulating limbs contrasted with grounded floor work give a sense of displacement and opposition, spatially shifting the dancers’ centers like ocean currents. Undertow was made possible through Velocity Dance Center’s Strictly Seattle commissioning and presenting Program. Watch excerpt.
